About the Role & Team

We are looking for a proactive, marketing-driven Associate Manager/Supervisor Attendee Acquisition, based out of Cairo, to lead audience development and engagement for IDC's conferences and events, and to manage IDC's audience development team in Egypt in support of the META region. This role combines marketing acumen, sales tele-calling, and team leadership with a strong customer service mindset to build and nurture relationships with attendees, speakers, partners, and prospects. Audience development at IDC includes securing registrations, speaker acquisition, affiliations, and relevant partnerships that drive event attendance and engagement.

Please note the screening will commence after the 1st of October once the Talent Acquisition Partner in charge returns from annual leave! 

What You’ll Do

• Lead, manage, and mentor the Audience Development team (Egypt), setting priorities, monitoring performance, and coaching the team to meet audience development targets. 
• Secure registrations, speakers, affiliations, and partnerships through proactive outreach and follow-up calls, keeping all lists and records up to date. 
• Provide insightful reports on registrant demographics, industries, and other key metrics; track and analyze attendance trends to optimize outreach strategies, following IDC's guidelines. 
• Handle follow-up and reminder calls, answer inquiries, and provide event information professionally and engagingly, building lasting relationships that foster loyalty and repeat engagement. 
• Apply a marketing-driven mentality to expand audience reach. 
• Develop and maintain a well-organized, detailed contact database for IDC's events. 
• Analyze feedback to identify opportunities for improving content, services, and satisfaction in future events. 
• Partner closely with the marketing and events team, contributing ideas and insights to elevate IDC's event goals. 
• Bring a people-first approach, fostering a collaborative, motivated team culture.

What You Bring

• Native Arabic speaker with professional verbal communication skills in Arabic and English.
• Proven experience leading or mentoring a team, with strong people-management skills.
• Strong marketing orientation, including audience segmentation, lead generation, and engagement strategies.
• Prior experience in a similar role (events, sales tele-calling, marketing support, or customer service) with a strong focus on relationship-building, lead generation, and team leadership.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools for data entry and analysis, with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with the team, with flexibility to occasionally attend events outside standard working hours.
