Role Description The Sr. Technical Architecture Engineer (Wood Works) is a full-time, on-site role based in Qesm El Obour . This role is responsible for leading the technical design and detailing of architectural woodwork elements, including joinery, cladding, flooring, and custom wood features for commercial and residential projects. Daily tasks include interpreting architectural drawings, developing shop drawings and technical documentation, coordinating with design, fabrication, and site teams, and ensuring compliance with performance, safety, and quality standards. The engineer reviews material specifications, supports value engineering, and provides technical guidance during bidding, manufacturing, and installation phases. The role also involves resolving on-site technical issues, optimizing production methods, and contributing to continuous improvement of woodwork systems and standards. Qualifications Strong technical background in architectural woodworks, including design detailing, joinery systems, cladding, and custom fabrication. Proficiency in CAD/BIM tools and relevant design software (e.g., Auto CAD, Revit, or similar) for producing precise shop drawings and technical documentation. Knowledge of materials, finishes, and construction techniques related to wood, composites, and associated hardware and accessories. Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams (architecture, engineering, manufacturing, and site execution) to align design, fabrication, and installation. Understanding of building codes, safety standards, and quality control procedures applicable to interior and exterior woodwork systems. Proven experience in project-based environments, including managing technical submittals, timelines, and priorities under a design-to-delivery framework. Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Interior Architecture, or a related field; advanced technical training in woodworks or fabrication is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to identify practical, cost-efficient technical solutions. Effective communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage for coordination with local teams and partners.
