Company Description Woodberry Preschool is an early childhood education center dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for young children. Role Description The English Teacher at Woodberry Preschool will design and deliver age-appropriate English language activities that build listening, speaking, early reading, and pre-writing skills. Daily responsibilities include planning lessons, preparing learning materials, leading group and individual activities, and using stories, songs, games, and creative tasks to introduce and reinforce English vocabulary and simple structures. The teacher will observe and document children’s progress, communicate regularly with families, and collaborate with colleagues to align classroom practice with the preschool’s educational approach. The role also involves maintaining a safe, inclusive classroom environment and supporting children’s social and emotional development throughout the day. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt. Qualifications Strong English language proficiency, with clear pronunciation and the ability to communicate effectively with young children. Experience or training in early childhood education, English language teaching, or related fields, preferably at the preschool or kindergarten level. Skills in lesson planning, classroom management, and creating engaging, developmentally appropriate learning activities. Ability to foster an inclusive, supportive, and culturally sensitive classroom environment for children with diverse backgrounds. Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with colleagues and engage constructively with families and caregivers. Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in working with young children and supporting their holistic development. Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Early Childhood Education, or a related discipline is preferred. Previous on-site teaching or classroom experience in a school or preschool setting in Cairo or similar contexts is an advantage.
