Role Description The Head of Artificial Intelligence is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Cairo, Egypt. This role oversees the design, development, and deployment of AI solutions across Neo AI’s products and services, ensuring alignment with business goals and client needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading cross-functional AI teams, defining technical roadmaps, reviewing and refining models, and setting standards for data quality, experimentation, and model governance. The Head of AI will collaborate with internal stakeholders and clients to translate business challenges into AI initiatives, supervise research into new techniques and tools, and guide AI integration into consulting, training, and marketing offerings. The role also involves mentoring team members, building partnerships with academic and industry communities, and contributing to thought leadership in the AI domain.
Qualifications
Strong foundations in Computer Science and Data Science, with the ability to design and evaluate scalable AI architectures and data pipelines. Proficiency in Pattern Recognition and related machine learning techniques to develop robust, production-ready AI models. Hands-on experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) for building language-based applications and solutions. Applied expertise in Computer Vision for image, video, or visual analytics use cases. Extensive experience leading AI/ML teams, including setting technical direction, managing projects, and mentoring diverse talent. Proficiency with modern ML frameworks and tools (e.g., Python, Tensor Flow, PyTorch, cloud ML platforms) and solid understanding of MLOps practices. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business impact for stakeholders and clients. Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience building AI solutions for commercial products or client engagements; background in consulting or training is a plus. Strong communication skills and willingness to work on-site in Cairo, Egypt, collaborating closely with local and international teams.
