Role Description The English Social Studies Teacher will design and deliver engaging lessons that integrate English language skills with social studies concepts for middle school learners. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, teaching classes, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback. The teacher will develop and adapt curriculum materials, incorporate a variety of instructional strategies, and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment. Additional tasks include collaborating with colleagues, communicating with parents or guardians when needed, and participating in school activities and professional development. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Al Bashaer International School in Qesm El Maadi.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Social Studies and World History, with the ability to connect historical events to contemporary issues. Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development, including creating age-appropriate materials for middle school learners. Experience teaching Middle School students, with skill in classroom management and differentiated instruction. Excellent English language proficiency, with strong communication, explanation, and student engagement skills. Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Studies, English, or a related field; teaching certification or licensure is preferred. Ability to use educational technology and digital resources to support instruction and assessment. Commitment to inclusive, culturally responsive teaching and to supporting diverse learning needs. Strong organizational skills, reliability, and a collaborative approach to working with staff and administration.
