Role Description The Import Coordinator is a full-time role based in New Cairo, Egypt. This role is responsible for managing and coordinating all import activities, ensuring timely and compliant delivery of ingredients, packaging, and equipment from international suppliers. Daily tasks include preparing and reviewing import documentation, coordinating with customs brokers and ocean freight providers, tracking shipments, and resolving any logistics issues that may arise. The Import Coordinator will communicate regularly with suppliers, internal departments, and service providers to ensure accurate information flow and smooth operations. The role also involves monitoring costs, supporting vendor performance evaluations, and maintaining records to align with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications Candidates should possess experience in Import operations, including handling import documentation and shipment coordination. Candidates should possess Customs Brokerage skills, with knowledge of customs regulations, duties, and clearance processes. Candidates should possess Ocean freight and international logistics skills, including coordination with carriers and freight forwarders. Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills for interacting with suppliers, brokers, and internal stakeholders. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred. Ability to work on-site in Cairo, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience in food, FMCG, or retail sectors and familiarity with regional import regulations are considered an advantage. Candidate should have strong english communication skills.
