Role Description The Senior Oracle APEX and PL/SQL Developer will work full time on-site at Tiba2000 Group in Cairo, Egypt. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Oracle APEX applications and PL/SQL code, including packages, procedures, functions, and triggers. The developer will collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and implement robust database solutions that support core business processes. Daily tasks include optimizing database performance, ensuring data integrity, supporting ETL processes, troubleshooting issues, and providing technical guidance to junior team members. The role also involves participating in code reviews, implementing best practices, and contributing to continuous improvement of development standards and workflows.
Qualifications
Strong database development skills, including Oracle APEX and PL/SQL, with the ability to build and maintain complex stored procedures and business logic. Experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes, including designing, implementing, and optimizing data integration workflows. Proficiency in database design and normalization, with experience creating efficient schemas, tables, indexes, and constraints. Solid data modeling capabilities, including conceptual, logical, and physical models that support scalable and secure applications. Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose performance issues, interpret data requirements, and propose effective technical solutions. Experience with Oracle database administration concepts (performance tuning, query optimization, security, backup/recovery) is an advantage. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and manage multiple tasks in a structured manner. Familiarity with version control systems, SDLC methodologies, and documentation best practices. Experience in enterprise or large-scale systems within similar industries in Egypt or the region is a plus.
