About Fox Autonomous Systems Fox Autonomous Systems is an Egyptian technology company developing next-generation autonomous systems, AI-powered robotics, and intelligent unmanned platforms for commercial, industrial, and government applications. We are looking for an ambitious Mechatronics Engineer who enjoys designing, building, and testing real hardware. This is a hands-on engineering role where you will work across mechanics, electronics, embedded systems, and rapid prototyping to help bring new robotic platforms from concept to reality.
What You'll DoDesign and prototype mechanical assemblies using CAD software. Build and integrate robotic systems including sensors, motors, actuators, and embedded electronics. Assemble, test, and troubleshoot prototype autonomous platforms. Develop and improve wiring, power distribution, and electronic integration. Work with 3D printers, CNC-manufactured parts, and rapid prototyping techniques. Assist with laboratory and field testing of robotic systems. Collaborate closely with our AI and software engineering teams to integrate autonomy into physical platforms. Document designs, test procedures, and engineering improvements. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.2 years of professional experience (exceptional fresh graduates are encouraged to apply). Strong understanding of mechanical and electronic systems. Experience with CAD software such as Solid Works, Fusion 360, or similar. Familiarity with microcontrollers (STM32, ESP32, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or similar). Comfortable using common laboratory tools and electronic test equipment. Strong problem-solving mindset with a willingness to learn new technologies. Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team. Nice to Have Personal robotics projects. UAV or UGV robotics experience. University competition experience (Formula Student, Robo Cup, IEEE Robotics, MATE ROV, UAV competitions, etc.). PCB design experience (KiCad or Altium).3D printing and rapid prototyping experience. Embedded C/C++ or Python programming. ROS/ROS2 experience. Git Hub portfolio or engineering portfolio.
