Role Description The Senior Specification Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Qesm El Maadi, responsible for leading technical specifications across Swedish Group EG’s architectural and interior systems portfolio. This role involves developing detailed project specifications, coordinating with design, sales, and engineering teams, and ensuring that materials, systems, and solutions align with performance, sustainability, and regulatory requirements. The Senior Specification Engineer reviews drawings and project documents, prepares technical submittals, and collaborates with global and local partners to validate product suitability and compliance. Day-to-day activities include supporting pre-bid and tender processes, advising on system selection and value engineering options, and providing technical guidance during fabrication, installation, and handover phases. The role also contributes to continuous improvement of specification standards, documentation templates, and knowledge-sharing across the group. Qualifications Strong background in building systems and materials, including façades, interior finishes, cladding, flooring, lighting, and smart/control technologies. Proficiency in specification writing and technical documentation, with the ability to translate design intent into clear, compliant project specifications. Experience reading and interpreting architectural, structural, and MEP drawings, and coordinating technical details with multidisciplinary teams. Knowledge of relevant building codes, standards, and sustainability frameworks, with experience in performance-based design and value engineering. Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field; advanced qualifications or professional certifications are an advantage. Demonstrated experience (senior-level) in specification or technical engineering roles within construction, architecture, or building products industries. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Effective communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work closely with design, sales, fabrication, and site teams. Proficiency in relevant design and documentation tools (e.g., CAD/BIM platforms, office productivity software); familiarity with specification software is
