Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a DP Mathematics Teacher based in New Cairo, Egypt. The DP Mathematics Teacher will plan and deliver engaging, rigorous International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (DP) Mathematics lessons that meet curriculum standards and support a range of learner abilities. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and learning materials, teaching scheduled classes, assessing student progress through assignments and examinations, and providing constructive feedback.
Qualifications Strong subject-matter expertise in Mathematics and a solid understanding of Mathematics Education principles suitable for high school students. Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development, including the ability to design IB DP-aligned units, assessments, and differentiated learning activities. Status as a Qualified Teacher with relevant teaching credentials and proven experience teaching mathematics at high school or pre-university level (IB DP experience is highly desirable). Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related field; additional IB training or certification is an advantage. Ability to create an inclusive, student-centered classroom environment that supports diverse learning needs and promotes critical thinking and problem-solving. Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills, with a commitment to ongoing professional learning. Comfort integrating educational technology and digital resources into teaching and assessment. Experience working in international or multicultural school settings is a plus; proficiency in English is required.
