Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Infra/Security Manager to join our team. This hands-on role requires an individual with extensive infrastructure and security expertise, capable of independently handling complex technical issues. The successful candidate will work on infrastructure and security-related tasks from our backlog, addressing incoming issues and driving improvements in compliance and technical debt. Key Responsibilities:
Global Collaboration: Coordinate with teams across various regions including the UK, US, AU and more, ensuring effective project delivery on scope, time, quality, and budget. Backlog Management: Work through the backlog of unresolved items, including NIS compliance, infrastructure changes, technical debt, and infrastructure improvements. Issue Resolution: Take ownership of issues from initial contact through to resolution, coordinating with PwC teams and collaborating with various departments like NIS and Edge development to ensure all infrastructure and security issues are addressed effectively. Collaboration: Work largely independently - under direction from Edge Infrastructure team - coordinating with teams across the UK, Australia, and globally. Growth Role: Act as the second-in-command (2IC) for Edge Infrastructure Management, providing backup support for the lead manager. Best Practices: Implement and advocate for industry best practices in Cloud and DevOps, adapting tools and processes to meet business needs. Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior and senior team members, fostering professional growth and development.
Desired Candidate Profile
- At least 8 years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure and Security roles, with significant expertise in building and managing large-scale web applications in production environments.
- Practical experience in deploying applications and managing large-scale cloud-based web applications.
- Expertise in Azure and other cloud platforms.
- Strong hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm charts.
- Familiarity with the complete software development lifecycle (SDLC) for web applications.
- Experience managing and operating web applications in production environments.
- Knowledge of web application security, network security, and infrastructure security.
- Understanding of security compliance, security scanning, and secure coding practices.
- Experience working within Agile frameworks and methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- Nice to have: Experience with specific tools such as Elasticsearch, Postgres/DB, and Java application deployment.

Education: University Bachelors education in a Computer Science/ IT / Communications Engineering
