Job Details

  • Continuously monitor live feeds from fixed, PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom), and mobile/in-vehicle cameras across gates, roads, depots, workshop yards, and public zones throughout the shift.
  • Operate the Video Management System (VMS) and camera controls—panning, tilting, zooming, and presets—to maintain coverage of priority areas and follow developing situations.
  • Track fleet and bus movements through camera coverage and, where integrated, GPS/telematics dashboards to verify route adherence, gate entries/exits, and parking discipline.
  • Maintain heightened vigilance over sensitive locations (cash-handling points, fuel and material stores, main gates, ANPR/LPR lanes).
  • Detect security, safety, traffic, and operational events in real time—unauthorized access, accidents, congestion, suspicious behavior, fire/smoke, or equipment failure.
  • Escalate per the defined alarm-and-notification matrix; alert security patrols, movement supervisors, fleet/maintenance teams, or emergency services without delay.
  • Act as the communications hub during incidents—relaying clear, accurate information between the control room and field units until the event is resolved.
  • Initiate response protocols (SOPs) for defined scenarios and track each incident through to closure.
  • Maintain an accurate shift log of all observations, alarms, incidents, and actions taken, with date/time, location, and personnel involved.
  • Retrieve, review, export, and securely archive recorded footage in response to authorized requests and investigations, preserving chain of custody.
  • Prepare incident reports and end-of-shift handover notes; flag recurring issues and surveillance gaps to the supervisor.
  • Perform start-of-shift and routine checks on cameras, recorders (NVR/DVR), monitors, storage, and network links; confirm recording integrity and adequate storage capacity.
  • Log faults—offline cameras, poor image quality, storage or network failures—and raise work orders with IT/technical maintenance, then verify restoration.
  • Apply basic first-line troubleshooting (reboots, reconnections, preset resets) within authorized limits before escalating.
  • Operate strictly within company policy, privacy guidelines, and applicable surveillance regulations; restrict footage access to authorized personnel only.
  • Safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all recorded material and control-room information.
  • Uphold control-room access control, housekeeping, and SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) standards at all times.
  • Maintain disciplined two-way radio / communication etiquette with patrols, gate staff, and movement teams.
  • Deliver a structured handover at the end of each shift covering open incidents, faults, and pending follow-ups.
  • Support drills, audits, and continuous-improvement initiatives for control-room operation.
