Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Health and Safety Officer role based in Alexandria. The Health and Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with workplace safety, occupational health standards, and environmental health and safety (EHS) regulations. Daily tasks include conducting safety inspections, assessing risks, implementing preventive measures, delivering training sessions, and drafting safety reports. The officer will collaborate across departments and guide staff to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Health & Safety practices and Workplace Safety standards Strong knowledge of Occupational Health and Environment Health and Safety (EHS) protocols Certified qualification in NEBOSH or a similar health and safety standard Excellent problem-solving and risk-assessment skills Strong communication and reporting abilities Experience in a similar health and safety role, particularly in logistics, engineering, or construction industries, is advantageous Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field Familiarity with both local and international safety regulations and standards
