We are seeking a highly competent Engineering Manager / Technical Manager to lead the technical function within our consultancy team, specializing in utility-scale solar PV projects, with Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) experience considered a strong advantage.
The role will primarily focus on design review, technical leadership, and ensuring engineering excellence across project phases including detailed design, construction, and commissioning. The selected candidate will play a key role in value engineering, tender support, and technical decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and perform comprehensive design reviews for utility-scale PV projects to ensure compliance with technical standards, project specifications, and industry best practices. Provide technical leadership to a team of 3–4 engineers, fostering high performance and continuous development. Drive value engineering initiatives to optimize project cost, performance, and constructability. Support tendering activities, including technical evaluations, clarifications, and contractor selection. Oversee engineering activities during construction and commissioning to ensure alignment with approved designs. Review PV area and grid connection strategies, substation designs, and system integration. Act as the primary technical authority for project-related decisions. Interface effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical matters. Ensure adherence to international standards such as IEC, IEEE, NFPA, and applicable local grid codes. Identify technical risks and propose mitigation strategies.
Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.7–10 years of relevant experience in solar PV and Electrical engineering. Minimum 3–5 years in a similar leadership role within a consultancy, developer, EPC, or Owner’s Engineer environment. Strong background in utility-scale solar PV projects is mandatory. Experience with BESS integration is highly preferred. Solid knowledge of grid connection and substation design.
Technical Skills Proficiency in industry-standard tools such as PVsyst, Auto CAD, ETAP, DIgSILENT, Helioscope, or equivalent. Strong understanding of power system studies, protection philosophy, and plant optimization. Familiarity with international engineering codes and standards.

Work Environment Primarily office-based with occasional travel to project sites located in remote areas.
