Role Description This is a full-time, hybrid (On-site + Remote) role based in Alexandria, Egypt, for an MEP Coordinator. The MEP Coordinator will be responsible for managing the coordination and integration of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems in diverse building projects. Daily tasks include overseeing project documentation, working with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software to create and modify designs, ensuring compliance with building services standards, and resolving technical issues as they arise. The role also involves collaborating with project teams, contractors, and clients to achieve efficient project execution.
Qualifications Strong hands-on experience in HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting Good working knowledge of Electrical systems (for coordination/interfaces) Proven experience in MEP Coordination with clients, consultants, contractors, and outsourced teams Must be able to coordinate and manage between MEP disciplines and other departments: Architecture, Structural, Civil, and other stakeholders Proficient in Auto CAD, Revit, Navisworks, and ACC (Autodesk Construction Cloud) Strong BIM workflow understanding (LOD, BEP, model/version control) Experience with shop drawings review and MEP QA/QC checklists Familiarity with relevant codes/standards (e.g., NFPA for firefighting)
Responsibilities Lead coordination across all MEP disciplines Coordinate between MEP + Architecture + Structural to ensure full model/installation alignment Run clash detection, track issues, and follow up comments until closure Manage technical communication, RFIs, and coordination logs with clients and teams Support coordination meetings and keep deliverables on track
