About the project Rehabitaire is a digital physiotherapy and rehabilitation platform currently in active development, focused on improving how rehabilitation programs are designed, delivered, and followed up. The platform uses AI and computer vision to help guide patients during their recovery, support therapists in monitoring progress, and improve adherence to prescribed exercises. We are building a reliable, scalable back-end to support these capabilities, and we are looking for a senior back-end developer to join the team.
On site role in our Cairo office in Maadi.
Role This is a senior role for a developer with at least 4 years of professional experience. You will work in a Scrum-based environment and collaborate closely with thefounder, product owner, UX designers, front end engineers, AI engineers, and the Dev Ops team to understand requirements and translate them into clear, maintainable back-end solutions. You will be involved in system design, solution architecture, and continuous improvement of the platform.
Responsibilities• Design, build, and maintain back-end services using Python and Django• Design and implement RESTful APIs used by web and mobile applications• Work closely with the founder, product manager, and UX designers to understand product requirements• Collaborate with AI, computer vision, and front-end engineers on system integration• Contribute to system design and solution architecture decisions and documentation.• Design and optimize database schemas and queries• Implement real-time features using Web Sockets when needed• Take part in regular releases, iterations, and sprint cycles• Support CI/CD pipelines, continuous deployment, and production releases• Ensure system reliability, performance, and security
Required Experience• At least 4 years of professional back-end development experience• Strong experience with Python and Django in production systems• Good understanding of RESTful API design, documentation, testing, and debugging• Solid experience using source control and collaboration tools in team-based workflows• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases• Experience with real-time communication technologies such as Web Sockets• Experience working in a Scrum or Agile development environment• Strong understanding of clean code practices, SOLID principles, and common software design patterns
Working Setup• On-site role in Aleppo• Close collaboration with the founder and a small, focused product team• High ownership and meaningful influence over technical direction
