About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support cybersecurity compliance and advisory initiatives within regulated and enterprise environments. This role focuses on providing expert guidance on cybersecurity governance, risk, and control alignment. This is a client-facing role. The SME will work closely with stakeholders to interpret regulatory and business requirements and translate them into practical cybersecurity solutions aligned with recognized international standards, such as ISO/IEC 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and CIS Controls. Strong professional communication skills are important due to the collaborative and advisory nature of the role.
Responsibilities
Provide cybersecurity subject matter expertise across compliance-driven initiatives Support assessment activities, compliance reviews, and control alignment efforts Translate regulatory and business requirements into effective cybersecurity controls Contribute to the development and review of cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures Provide advisory input across areas such as governance, risk, cloud security, IAM, and security operations Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to support project delivery

Qualifications
Professional experience in cybersecurity, information security, or GRC-focused roles Strong understanding of compliance-oriented cybersecurity frameworks and controls Experience supporting advisory, consulting, or client-facing cybersecurity engagements Familiarity with international security standards such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, or CIS Controls Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP) are valued
