Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role at Alexanderia Main University Hospital (AMUH), located in Alexandria. The Pharmacist will be responsible for preparing and dispensing medications, verifying prescriptions for accuracy, providing drug information and guidance to healthcare professionals and patients, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Additional duties include monitoring patient medication therapy, managing inventory, and supporting the hospital’s overall pharmaceutical care services.

Qualifications

Proficiency in prescription preparation, medication dispensing, and drug dosage calculations. Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacology, and relevant medical terminology. Ability to provide patient counseling, drug interaction advice, and recommendations to healthcare teams. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to patient safety and compliance with regulations. Proficiency in managing pharmacy inventory and maintaining accurate records. Active pharmacist license in good standing with the relevant authorities. A Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited institution. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment. Experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting is a plus.
