Role Description
We are seeking a contract-based Security Engineer to join our remote team. In this role, you will conduct penetration testing, security assessments, and vulnerability analysis to protect our platform and customer data. You will identify security risks, implement safeguards, and work closely with our development teams to ensure our systems maintain robust security posture across all integrations and customer touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments on web applications, APIs, and infrastructure• Identify, document, and track security vulnerabilities through remediation• Collaborate with developers to implement security fixes and best practices• Perform security code reviews and threat modeling exercises• Monitor and respond to security incidents and alerts• Contribute to security policies, standards, and compliance requirements• Review system architecture and design for security considerations• Prepare security reports and communicate findings to stakeholders
Qualifications
• Strong expertise in penetration testing methodologies and security assessment tools• Solid understanding of web application security, OWASP Top 10, and common vulnerabilities• Proficiency in identifying and exploiting security weaknesses in web applications and APIs• Experience with security testing tools• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills• Understanding of secure development practices and security frameworks
