Job Details

Purpose of the job:Drive the design, development, and validation of high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) electrical systems and power electronics for electric vehicles. This role is responsible for ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of power electronics and electrical distribution networks throughout the vehicle development lifecycle as from initial requirements definition through manufacturing and service implementation. Job Responsibilities & Duties: • Develop and analyze HV system power electronics requirements and validation plans • Design and analyze HV and LV power distribution networks for electric vehicles • Model, develop, and test power electronics systems with comprehensive validation plans up to full vehicle level • Perform electrical power load calculations and distribution network optimization • Analyze fault tolerances, reliability metrics, and manufacturing feasibility • Test and validate vehicle control strategies and communication protocols including CAN • Execute test cases on HV components using laboratory measurement devices • Develop component requirements, specifications, and technical documentation • Validate electric vehicle components against defined engineering requirements • Develop activities related to Functional Safety standards (ISO 26262) • Interface with systems engineering teams for integration of electrical components • Provide technical recommendations to Applications and Systems engineers for high-power electric components • Validate manufacturing, assembly, and service feasibility of electrical systems • Participate in supplier sourcing processes and manage engineering supplier relationships • Monitor and oversee assembly processes of HV systems • Conduct in-vehicle tests and test bench evaluations of HV system physical functions Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering or related field. (Master’s is a plus). Required Experience: • 3-5 years of professional experience in electrical, electronic, electromechanical, or control systems engineering • Proven experience in HV/LV power distribution network design and electrical power load calculations • Hands-on experience with electric circuit design, analysis, and comprehensive understanding of electric vehicle systems • Experience with vehicle harness design using CATIA Electrical or similar tools • Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink modeling and simulation for electrical systems • Experience with vehicle electrical testing and validation in laboratory environments • Background in automotive communication protocols (CAN) and CANoe software • Hands-on experience working with laboratory test equipment (oscilloscopes, DC programmable loads, automated test benches) • Working knowledge of HV/LV electrical systems and power electronics fundamentals • Familiarity with ISO 26262 Functional Safety principles. Preferred Experience :• Background in Functional Safety (ISO 26262) development processes and implementation • Experience with manufacturing processes and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) • Supplier management and technical collaboration experience • Electric machines modeling and analysis experience • Experience with V-cycle development methodology • Exposure to Battery Management Systems (BMS)
