Senior Mechanical Engineer (HVAC + Fire Protection + Plumbing) We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of HVAC, Fire Protection (FPR), and Plumbing (PLD) systems for complex and themed environments. The role involves end-to-end responsibility from concept design through construction and commissioning, with strong coordination across multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities1. HVAC System Design & Engineering Review and design HVAC systems for indoor and semi-outdoor themed environments, ensuring thermal comfort, indoor air quality, and acoustic performance. Perform load calculations, system sizing, and duct routing in coordination with architectural, structural, and show constraints. Select HVAC equipment, define control strategies, and ensure compliance with energy efficiency and sustainability goals.2. Fire Protection (FPR) Systems Review, design, and specify fire protection systems including sprinklers, water mist, and special hazard systems. Ensure full compliance with NFPA, SBC, and local authority requirements. Coordinate with AHJs, fire consultants, and authorities for approvals, permits, and inspections.3. Plumbing (PLD) Systems Review and develop plumbing system layouts including water supply, drainage, venting, and specialty piping. Specify fixtures, pumps, tanks, interceptors, and treatment systems. Address unique requirements such as themed water features, interactive installations, and non-standard utilities.4. BIM Modeling & Documentation Lead the development of 3D mechanical models (HVAC, FPR, PLD) using Revit. Prepare coordinated construction documentation including drawings, schematics, and details. Manage clash detection and coordination with architectural, structural, and show systems.5. Code Compliance & Engineering Standards Ensure compliance with SBC, ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC, and other applicable standards. Develop technical specifications and design narratives for client reviews and permitting. Stay updated on environmental, health, safety, and energy efficiency regulations.6. Design Coordination & Integration Collaborate closely with architects, creative teams, and engineers to integrate MEP systems within scenic and show-driven environments. Translate creative concepts into technically sound and buildable designs. Participate in interdisciplinary design reviews and coordination meetings.7. Construction Administration & Site Support Review submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings. Conduct site inspections and support testing and commissioning activities. Coordinate with contractors and vendors to resolve construction issues.8. Project Leadership & Team Management Mentor junior engineers and BIM designers. Manage schedules, workloads, and deliverables across multiple projects. Maintain organized documentation, revisions, and version control.9. Quantity Take-Off & BOQ Support Provide mechanical quantities, equipment lists, and material specifications. Assist with technical evaluation of bids, alternates, and vendor proposals.10. QA/QC & Best Practices Perform internal quality reviews for constructability, compliance, and performance. Apply lessons learned and company standards to enhance project outcomes. Ensure system reliability, maintainability, and lifecycle efficiency. Required Skills Leadership of HVAC, Fire Protection, and Plumbing system design from concept through construction. Strong BIM coordination and multidisciplinary clash resolution. Technical leadership during design, documentation, and site execution. Experience mentoring engineers and managing consultants and vendors. Technical Knowledge Strong command of SBC, ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC, and relevant international standards.
