We’re Hiring: Senior Compensation and benefits Specialist Work Location: Benghazi, Libya (On-site) Employment Type: Full-Time
Role Overview The Senior Compensation & Benefits Specialist is responsible for support in the strategic design, implementation, and management of the organization’s total rewards framework. This role balances technical payroll oversight with high-level financial modeling, ensuring that salary structures and benefits packages remain competitive, equitable, and aligned with global standards and local labor laws.
Key Responsibilities1. Strategic Compensation & Grading Structure Design: Coordinate in creating, implementing, and regularly review local C&B standards and salary scales based on global HR governance and local market trends. Job Evaluation: Coordinate in lead job mapping and evaluation exercises using formal methodologies (e.g., Hay, Mercer) to ensure internal equity and logical grading structures. Incentive Management: Coordinate in design and deploy performance-based reward models, annual merit increases, bonus payments, and retention mechanisms. Market Benchmarking: Conduct in-depth industry benchmarking and salary reviews to identify risks, gaps, and opportunities for optimization.2. Benefits & Lifecycle Management Program Enhancement: Coordinate in managing the end-to-end lifecycle of employee benefits, including medical/life insurance, pension plans, allowances, and workplace services. Vendor Relations: Coordinate in negotiations with third-party providers and brokers to ensure cost-effective, high-quality benefits plans. Utilization Analysis: Monitor benefits utilization and employee satisfaction to recommend data-driven improvements to the benefits suite.3. Payroll Oversight & HR Controlling E2E Payroll Governance: Coordinate the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring 100% accuracy in salary disbursements, statutory deductions, and tax settlements. Compliance & Audit: Ensure strict adherence to labor laws, social insurance regulations, and wage tax requirements. Maintain audit-ready documentation for internal and external reviews.4. Analytics & Stakeholder Support Reporting Excellence: Develop advanced HR dashboards and payroll analytics to identify trends in workforce costs and employee turnover.o Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process changes within the HRIS/ERP (Oracle) to improve data integrity and operational efficiency.
Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance. An HR Certificate or Diploma is highly preferred. Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in Compensation & Benefits, with a proven track record in salary modeling and payroll oversight. Technical Skills: Advanced modeling is mandatory. (Power BI highly preferred). System Proficiency: Strong experience with Tier-1 HRIS/ERP systems (Oracle highly preferred). Language: Professional fluency in English (written and verbal).
