Role Summary The Sales Team Leader is responsible for leading, coaching, and driving the performance of a sales team focused on selling localization services (translation, localization, MTPE, DTP, QA, and related language solutions). The role combines hands-on sales execution with team leadership, pipeline management, and coordination with internal production and operations teams to ensure revenue growth, client satisfaction, and long-term account development.
Key Responsibilities Sales & Revenue Generation Achieve individual and team sales targets in line with company revenue and growth objectives. Drive new business acquisition through prospecting, outbound sales activities, referrals, and inbound lead conversion. Identify and pursue opportunities across key localization verticals (e.g., technology, automotive, life sciences, gaming, e-learning, marketing, legal). Prepare and deliver customized proposals, pricing models, and service presentations aligned with client requirements. Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, and framework agreements in coordination with management and legal. Team Leadership & Performance Management Lead, motivate, and coach a team of Sales Executives / Account Managers. Set clear KPIs, sales targets, and performance expectations for team members. Conduct regular pipeline reviews, one-on-one meetings, and performance evaluations. Support team members in deal strategy, objection handling, and closing high-value opportunities. Identify training needs and contribute to onboarding and continuous sales development programs. Account Management & Client Relationships Oversee strategic and high-value client accounts and support account expansion and upselling. Build long-term, trusted relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders. Ensure smooth handover from sales to operations and maintain post-sale follow-up to ensure client satisfaction. Proactively address client risks, escalations, and retention challenges. Sales Operations & Forecasting Manage and maintain accurate sales pipelines, forecasts, and CRM records. Track sales metrics, conversion rates, and team performance dashboards. Provide regular sales reports and insights to management. Ensure compliance with sales processes, pricing guidelines, and approval workflows. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Project Management, Vendor Management, Production, Finance, and Quality teams to align on service capabilities, pricing feasibility, and delivery timelines. Support RFPs, RFQs, and tenders by coordinating technical inputs and costing. Provide market and client feedback to support service development and competitiveness.
Job Specifications Education Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Languages, or a related field. A background in linguistics or localization is an advantage. Experience5–8 years of B2B sales experience, preferably within localization, language services, or related professional services. Minimum 2–3 years in a team leadership or senior sales role. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a service-based environment. Technical & Professional Skills Strong understanding of localization services workflows (translation, MTPE, DTP, QA, TMS). Experience selling complex, customized service solutions. Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Odoo, Salesforce, Hub Spot, Zoho) and MS Office. Strong commercial acumen, pricing, and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple deals and priorities simultaneously. Soft Skills & Competencies Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities. Strategic thinking with a hands-on, results-driven mindset. High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Language Requirements Fluent in English (written and spoken). is a MUSTArabic is mandatory; additional languages are a plus.
