Specification Engineer Location: New Cairo Industry: Construction / Engineering / Consultancy Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Specification Engineer to prepare, review, and manage technical specifications for construction and engineering projects. The role ensures that materials, systems, and workmanship comply with project requirements, standards, and client expectations. Key Responsibilities Prepare, review, and update project technical specifications in line with drawings, BOQs, and project requirements. Ensure compliance with local and international codes, standards, and regulations. Coordinate with design, technical office, and procurement teams to align specifications with approved materials and vendors. Review material submittals, method statements, and technical data sheets to ensure compliance with specifications. Participate in value engineering activities while maintaining quality and performance standards. Respond to technical clarifications, RFIs, and consultant/client inquiries related to specifications. Assist in pre-qualification and evaluation of suppliers and manufacturers. Maintain proper documentation and control of specifications throughout the project lifecycle. Support tendering and bidding processes by providing accurate technical specifications. Requirements & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Civil or relevant discipline).3–7 years of experience in specification, technical office, or design roles. Strong knowledge of construction materials, systems, and international standards (ASTM, BS, EN, ISO, etc.). Experience working with consultants, contractors, and suppliers. Proficiency in Auto CAD and Microsoft Office; knowledge of Revit is a plus. Good command of English (spoken and written).
