Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Acquiring & Payment Gateway IT Specialist to manage and support acquiring systems, merchant platforms, and payment gateway technologies. The role will play a critical part in data host migration projects, merchant integrations, and ongoing payment operations, while coordinating with internal teams and external partners to deliver secure, compliant, and scalable payment solutions.
This position requires strong technical expertise in the payments domain, hands-on implementation experience, and the ability to lead complex system transitions end-to-end.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and provide technical support for acquiring systems and payment gateway platforms Lead data host migration projects end-to-end, including planning, execution, validation, and go-live support Support merchant onboarding, technical integrations, and day-to-day operational issues Coordinate with processors, acquiring banks, PSPs, and technology vendors on system changes and enhancements Oversee SIT, UAT, production deployments, and post-launch stabilization Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and card scheme standards (e.g., Visa, Mastercard) Prepare and maintain technical documentation, operational reports, and migration artifacts
Skills & Requirements
8+ years experience in payment gateways and merchant platforms Strong hands-on experience with acquiring systems, payment gateways, and merchant platforms Proven experience in data migration, system transitions, or host migrations Solid understanding of payment flows, merchant onboarding, and transaction processing Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills Excellent communication and coordination skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Ability to work effectively with cross-functional internal teams and external partners Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field English fluency required; Arabic language skills preferred
