Job Title: Senior Accountant Department: Accounting & Finance Job Location: Iraq

Primary responsibilities of this role:Handle the booking of transactions accurately and in accordance with local laws & regulations, international reporting standards & Group’s accounting policies & procedures, generate various reports, bank reconciliations, and tax declarations, in addition to preparing transfers, payments for suppliers and expenses. Duties and Essential Job Functions:- Adhere to the organization’s policies and procedures as well as to legal compliance with the laws and regulations in the operating countries.- Perform general accounting transactions (prepaid, accruals, provisions);- Reconcile inter-companies accounts upon request.- Execute NSSF and Tax declarations payments.- Review all expense reports and handle all payment transactions (transfers, checks, cash);- Manage fixed assets transactions; process new assets acquired, disposal of assets, and related depreciation.- Control the execution of sales/invoicing cycle operations, follow-up on invoices/collection cycle operations.- Prepare PO and sales invoices related to organization’s main business.- Prepare receivables, payables reports, and handle any other financial / Accounting transactions.- Responsible for bank transactions (reconciliation, position, statement of accounts, transfers and checks);- Handle creation of new stock items, oversee proper documentation of all purchase’s orders.- Perform other tasks as assigned by the direct manager.

Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.- 3 to 5 years of progressive accounting experience.- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels in English & Arabic.- Good skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Accounting Software, ERP is a major plus.
