About the Role:We are hiring a Research Manager to establish and help lead Cushman & Wakefield Core's real estate research & intelligence function in Egypt. This strategic yet hands-on role requires end-to-end ownership of research processes, from field data collection to high-level analysis, while building the team's future capabilities.
The ideal candidate thrives in a "builder" role, combining deep market knowledge with practical problem-solving. They will add value through their existing database and market expertise, with opportunities to scale the function.
Key responsibilities include: consulting projects (highest & best-use studies, feasibility analyses, benchmarking, and portfolio optimisation) and contributing to our market-leading research publications across asset classes, which provide clients with cutting-edge market intelligence and trend analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Research Leadership & Project Execution Lead high-impact research projects, including market studies, feasibility analyses, and investment assessments, to guide strategic decisions. Deliver accurate, timely, and actionable reports (quarterly market updates, competitor benchmarks, risk assessments). Implement best practices in research methodologies and data analysis to elevate quality standards. Present findings directly to clients and senior leadership.
2. Data Management & Analysis Maintain and expand proprietary databases (property listings, transaction histories, pricing trends), ensuring precision and usability. Monitor market trends, regulatory shifts, and economic indicators affecting real estate values and opportunities. Adapt research approaches based on feedback and changing market dynamics.
3. Team Development & Collaboration Establish processes and tools to streamline research workflows (e.g., CRM integration, automated dashboards). Mentor future hires as the team grows; on research tools, data interpretation, and professional client interactions. Collaborate cross-functionally (Acquisitions, Asset Management, Client Services) to address research needs.
4. Thought Leadership & Innovation Produce white papers, articles, and presentations to position the company as a market authority. Drive innovation by adopting new technologies (e.g., AI-driven analytics, geospatial tools). Provide training sessions to upskill the wider team on data utilization.
Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Data Analytics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of 6 years of experience in research, analytics, or a related field within the commercial real estate sector. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw meaningful conclusions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting findings clearly and concisely to diverse audiences. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments, managing multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently. Broad knowledge of commercial real estate market dynamics, trends, and asset classes (commercial, residential, industrial, retail, hospitality). Prior experience in conducting market research, feasibility studies, and writing real estate market reports. Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technology platforms. Demonstrated strong work ethic and ability to manage time effectively.
