Job Title: IoT and Applied AI Instructor
Job Purpose:
To teach specialized subjects within the "IoT and Applied AI" program for technical secondary school students, covering both theoretical and practical aspects, and preparing students with the technical skills required for the local and international job market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver theoretical and practical lessons in areas of specialization such as:
- Electrical & Cabling Technology
- CAD & Soldering
- Programming Fundamentals
- Networking & Communications Fundamentals
- Digital & Analogue Electronics
- Electronic Devices & Circuits
- Microcontroller Applications
- Sensors & Actuators
- IoT Fundamentals
- IoT Programming & Cloud Services
- IoT Data Analytics & Visualization
- Smart Applications (e.g., Smart Agriculture, Smart Facilities Management, BIM)
- Supervise hands-on training and workshops in labs using tools, measuring instruments, and relevant equipment.
- Develop instructional materials, lab manuals, and practical guides aligned with the curriculum and industry standards.
- Assess students’ performance through theoretical exams, practical tests, and project-based evaluation.
- Collaborate with other instructors for subjects related to Networking, Cybersecurity, and Communications.
- Keep up to date with technological advancements in IoT and AI, integrating them into the teaching content.
- Ensure compliance with lab safety and workshop regulations.
Qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electronics, Communications, Mechatronics, Electrical, or a related field).
- Minimum 3 years of practical and theoretical experience in IoT, electronics, or smart systems.
- Ability to conduct hands-on training using relevant equipment and tools.
- Knowledge of basic programming and IoT-related languages (e.g., Python, C/C++).
- Minimum 2 years of training or teaching experience
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage secondary school students.
- Ability to simplify concepts and explain engineering principles to students in a clear and easy to understand way.
