Support Services Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Support On-Site Engineer specializing in Jira to join our team at 2P.


As a Resident Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the optimal performance and security of our Jira systems. This role involves a combination of on-site and remote support responsibilities, including after-hours support as needed.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive on-site support, as well as phone and remote support as necessary.
  • Ensure system access is limited to authorized users only.
  • Maintain the availability, stability, and security of the Jira system.
  • Execute regular maintenance tasks, including system updates and patches.
  • Monitor system health and proactively address performance issues.
  • Manage and configure user access controls, permissions, and handle user onboarding/offboarding processes.
  • Implement robust backup and recovery mechanisms to safeguard Jira data.
  • Develop, maintain, and customize Jira Software workflows.
  • Develop, maintain, and customize Jira Service Management workflows.
  • Offer guidance and support to users on the effective and correct use of Jira applications.


Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT support or system administration, with a strong focus on Jira.
  • In-depth knowledge of Jira Software and Jira Service Management tools.
  • Experience in system maintenance, including updates, patches, and security management.
  • Proficient in managing system health, including monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Capable of configuring complex workflows, access controls, and permission settings within Jira.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for providing user support and guidance.
  • Jira System experience is a must
