We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated logistics manager to lead Merqah Foundation's logistics team.
The logistics Supervisor will ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization's logistics operations, inventory management, transportation, and warehouse management. They will be key in optimizing logistics processes, reducing costs, and improving overall operational efficiency. The logistics manager will provide guidance and support to the logistics team members.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Planning, implementing, and supervising logistics operations and services.
• Supervising, guiding, and delegating tasks to the logistics team.
• Overseeing the warehouse department and monitoring the quality and safety of goods in storage.
• Following up on incoming and outgoing warehouse operations, adjusting inventory levels, and conducting monthly inventories.
• Ensuring that warehouse staff adhere to safety and security regulations.
• Negotiating with suppliers and ensuring supplier compliance with quality standards.
• Supervising and monitoring the transportation and movement of personnel and aid.
• Developing transportation routes for field staff missions and providing transportation for these missions.
• Supervising the movement of the organization's vehicles following up on their periodic maintenance and ensuring their safety.
• Ensuring that transportation and movement staff adhere to safety and security regulations.
• Training new logistics staff & Evaluating employee performance.
Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.• Males only max. age 40 years• +5 years’ Experience in logistics management, with a strong understanding of supply chain principles and best practices• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and optimization• Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and partners• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines• Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements governing logistics operations• Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and willingness to take initiative in driving process improvements
