Core Banking Applications Support Senior Officer

  • Lead and manage a team of application support analysts to ensure the smooth operation and support of core banking applications
  • Work closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to understand application requirements and provide expert support and guidance
  • Manage incident and problem resolution, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues
  • Develop and implement best practices for application support processes and procedures
  • Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met and maintained
  • Collaborate with vendors and external partners to address application-related issues and ensure service delivery
  • Monitor application performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Provide regular reporting and updates to management on application support activities and performance
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in core banking applications


Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or its equivalent
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Core Banking applications in the Banking sector
  • 1+ leading a team of more than 3 members
  • Operating system fundamentals (Linux, AIX, Windows)
  • Good knowledge of databases (SQL, Oracle)
  • Knowledge of one or more Application Servers Websphere, Microsoft IIS Web Server)
  • Good Knowledge of ticketing change management systems
  • Java Fundamentals
  • Automation and testing tools knowledge


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Automation /Scripting experience
  • Problem management and incident management skills
  • Integration knowledge with ESB and Data warehouse
  • Knowledge of banking products and services
  • Development experience
