• Senior Mechanical Tendering and Estimation Engineer

Job Description:

-Tender & Document Analysis: Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, and Bill of Quantities (BOQs) to outline the exact mechanical scope, risks, and exclusions.

-Quantity Takeoffs: Extract accurate material and equipment quantities for ductwork, piping, plumbing fixtures, and mechanical accessories using engineering drawings and software.

-Cost Estimation & Pricing: Calculate direct and indirect costs—including equipment, material rates, labor, installation, and overheads—to formulate competitive financial bids.

-Supplier & Subcontractor Coordination: Request, compare, and evaluate commercial and technical quotations from vendors and subcontractors.

-Propose cost-saving or design-alternative solutions to improve project profitability while meeting specifications.

-Assemble complete technical and commercial proposal packages compliant with client requirements and strict submission deadlines.

-Attend technical/commercial negotiation meetings and reply to official post-bid queries.

- Job Requirements:

-Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

-Experience: Generally 6 to 8 years of hands-on experience in mechanical tendering, cost estimation.

-Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems, local/international codes, and installation methodologies.

-Construction Background.

-Software Proficiency:

* Advanced Microsoft Excel (formulas, cost analysis models).

* AutoCAD and specialized takeoff/estimation software.
