BIM Coordinator - Architecture Location: New Cairo, Egypt
Hire Pals is currently partnering with a leading multidisciplinary design consultancy to recruit a Architectural BIM Coordinator to join its growing building design team in Cairo. The role will focus on the development and coordination of high-quality electrical BIM models and technical drawings, working closely with engineers and other design disciplines across a range of building projects.
Job Purpose To support the delivery of architectural projects through effective BIM coordination, model management, and multidisciplinary collaboration. The BIM Coordinator is responsible for maintaining BIM standards, ensuring model quality and consistency, facilitating design coordination between disciplines, and supporting project teams in the successful delivery of BIM-enabled projects in accordance with Company's standards, client requirements, and project objectives. Core Responsibilities(for the portfolio of projects) Develop, manage, and coordinate architectural BIM models across all project stages. Ensure BIM models are developed in accordance with Company's BIM standards, project requirements, and client specifications. Coordinate architectural models with Structural, MEP, Landscape, Interior Design, and Infrastructure disciplines. Perform model reviews and quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project standards. Conduct clash detection and coordination reviews using BIM coordination tools. Monitor and resolve design coordination issues identified during model reviews and clash detection processes. Support project teams in maintaining BIM execution plans (BEP) and project BIM requirements. Manage model federation and maintain coordinated multidisciplinary models. Ensure proper model data, naming conventions, file structures, and BIM workflows are consistently implemented. Collaborate with Architects, Engineers, and BIM teams to ensure efficient project delivery. Prepare and distribute BIM coordination reports, clash reports, and project documentation. Participate in BIM coordination meetings and technical workshops. Support the implementation of digital design technologies and BIM best practices across projects. Assist in the preparation and review of construction documentation generated from BIM models. Ensure BIM deliverables meet project deadlines and quality requirements. Monitor model performance and recommend improvements to BIM processes and workflows. Provide technical support and guidance to Architects, BIM Modelers, and project teams. Assist in training and mentoring junior BIM team members. Support project submissions and client BIM deliverables. Stay updated with industry trends, BIM technologies, and digital delivery practices. Perform other BIM and project-related duties as assigned. Skills & Experiences Bachelor’s degree in architecture. Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Architecture and BIM Coordination. Experience within an architectural or multidisciplinary design consultancy environment. Proven experience working on medium to large-scale projects. Experience in multidisciplinary BIM coordination and project delivery. Experience in GCC projects is advantageous.
