Mission

JOB PURPOSE:

The Supply Chain & Stock Analyst is responsible for the systematic execution of material planning and inventory control to ensure operational continuity and cost-efficiency. This role acts as a critical link between engineering requirements and procurement fulfillment, maintaining the integrity of the CMMS ecosystem while identifying opportunities for process optimization.

Profile

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

Material Planning & Requisition Management

• Execute Material Requirements Planning (MRP) by converting maintenance work orders and material bookings into accurate purchase requisitions.

• Monitor and adjust Reorder Points (ROP) and safety stock parameters based on current consumption trends and lead times.

• Track the status of pending purchase orders with the Procurement Team to ensure timely delivery and minimize operational downtime.

• Validate all system-generated requisitions against technical specifications provided by the Maintenance and Engineering departments.

Stock Control & Optimization

• Analyze inventory levels to maintain an optimal balance, actively preventing both overstocking and critical stockout scenarios.

• Audit received materials against purchase orders to ensure physical items match system data before finalizing inventory transactions.

• Investigate discrepancies in stock levels and recommend corrective actions to maintain high-fidelity data within the CMMS.

• Identify slow-moving and obsolete (SLOB) materials to support warehouse space optimization and financial health.

Cross-Functional Coordination & Performance

• Serve as the primary focal point between Maintenance and Procurement to align spare part requirements with sourcing activities.

• Collaborate with maintenance engineers to facilitate service-related needs, including equipment calibration and external repair workflows.

• Conduct regular review meetings with the Procurement team to identify bottlenecks in the supply chain and improve vendor delivery timelines.

• Support the development of KPIs and visual dashboards to track stock turnover and overall supply chain service levels.

Safety Responsibilities:

• Promote a positive safety culture within the workplace and attend any safety-related meetings or briefings as required within the job role.

• Comply with the requirements of RDMC RQHSE Policy and Safety Management System.

• Be mindful that Safety, Security, and Environmental protection are everyone’s responsibility. All staff members are accountable for reporting and intervening in any Safety, Security, or Environmental violations.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.

• Professional certification in Supply Chain (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) is highly preferred.

• Strong command of technical English, both written and verbal, for cross-departmental reporting.

KNOWLEDGE:

• Advanced proficiency in IBM Maximo or a similar Tier-1 CMMS/ERP system.

• Deep understanding of inventory management principles, including EOQ, Safety Stock, and Lead Time analysis.

• Mastery of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, Power Query) for data modeling and reporting.

EXPERIENCE:

• 3–5 years of progressive experience in material forecasting, inventory management, or procurement, preferably within a maintenance-heavy or transportation environment.

DESIRED BEHAVIORS & EXPERIENCES

• Detail-oriented mindset capable of identifying trends and anomalies within large datasets to prevent supply chain disruptions.

• Anticipate potential stock issues and take the initiative to propose data-backed solutions to stakeholders.

• Ability to build strong relationships across departments, translating technical maintenance needs into actionable procurement requests.

• Forward-thinking approach to modernizing workflows through the adoption of new digital tools and automated reporting.

• Demonstrate accuracy in reviewing data, materials, and documentation, ensuring compliance and minimizing errors.

• Respond effectively to changing priorities, urgent requirements, or unexpected challenges in supply chain activities.
