The Role of the Assistant Director of People & Culture: Assistant Director of People & Culture plays a key role in supporting the overall People & Culture strategy, ensuring an exceptional employee experience throughout the entire team member lifecycle. This position partners closely with leaders across the hotel to foster a positive workplace culture, drive employee engagement, support talent acquisition and retention initiatives, and ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies. The role provides leadership across HR operations, employee relations, learning and development, performance management, and colleague wellbeing, while helping to develop talent and strengthen organizational capabilities. Success in this role requires strong collaboration, effective communication, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Our Ideal Assistant Director of People & Culture: We're looking for a passionate and people-focused HR professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys building positive employee experiences. You have 2 to 4 years of experience in Human Resources, Employee Relations, People & Culture, or a similar field, supported by a Bachelor's degree, diploma, or equivalent combination of education and experience. You have a solid understanding of labor laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices, and you're confident managing a variety of HR activities with accuracy and professionalism. You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to balance multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of work. Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite and HR systems, you bring strong administrative capabilities along with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. You understand the importance of confidentiality and can handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity. Most importantly, you're a relationship builder who enjoys working with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization. You have hands-on experience supporting employee engagement initiatives, talent acquisition activities, personnel administration, HR compliance, and employee relations matters. Experience within the hospitality industry, particularly with a luxury hotel brand, will be a strong advantage and will help you quickly adapt and succeed in this role.
