Network Engineer

Job Summary

FiberCom is looking for an experienced Network Engineer with strong knowledge of networking infrastructure and hands-on experience in ELV and low-current systems, particularly Public Address (PA), IP Telephony, and Access Control systems.

The ideal candidate should be technically strong, capable of troubleshooting and commissioning systems, and comfortable working on-site and under pressure. Experience in hospitality projects is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, install, test, and maintain network infrastructure and related systems.

• Configure and troubleshoot Switches, Routers, Access Points, VLANs, and IP-based networks.

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Public Address (PA) and Audio systems.

• Install and configure IP Telephony / Hotel IP Phone systems.

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Access Control systems, including controllers, readers, locks, and related network connectivity.

• Integrate ELV systems over IP networks when required.

• Perform system testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

• Conduct site surveys and prepare technical reports and documentation.

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams.

• Support project implementation and ensure systems are delivered according to project specifications.

• Provide technical support and resolve on-site issues efficiently.

• Prepare configuration files, network diagrams, and as-built documentation when required.

• Ensure compliance with project standards, quality requirements, and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Communications Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.

  • 2–5+ years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer.

  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, Wi-Fi, and network troubleshooting.

  • Hands-on experience with network switches and access points.

  • Practical experience with at least some of the following systems:

    • Public Address (PA) / Audio Systems

    • IP Telephony

    • Access Control

    • CCTV and other ELV systems is an advantage.

  • Good understanding of IP-based ELV systems and network integration.

  • Hospitality / hotel project experience is highly preferred.

  • Ability to read technical drawings and network diagrams.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Good command of English.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.

  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

  Preferred Certifications

  • CCNA or equivalent networking certification.

  • Relevant ELV / Low Current certifications are a plus.
