Job Purpose: The Mechanical Works Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating all mechanical works activities on site to ensure the works are carried out safely, according to the specified schedule, and in accordance with the project specifications, quality standards, and approved drawings. The role includes managing workforce productivity, monitoring progress, resolving site issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality procedures. Main responsibilities: Supervise and manage daily mechanical works including: air conditioning and ventilation (HVAC), sanitary and plumbing, fire protection, and mechanical feed and drainage works. Ensure all works are performed in accordance with the approved drawings, project specifications, method statements, and QA/QC requirements. Coordinate with site engineers, subcontractors, and foremen to ensure smooth workflow and timely task completion. Monitor labor distribution, equipment usage, and material availability to ensure site operations efficiency. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, verify quality, and ensure safety requirements are met. Field problem-solving and handling technical challenges and any conflicts between mechanical, civil, or electrical systems to avoid implementation delays. Ensure strict compliance with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) regulations and implement safety procedures for all workers on site. Prepare and submit daily progress reports to site management. Contribute to planning site activities, sequencing works, and identifying risks or potential delays. Review and track quantities of work performed for invoicing, material requests, and project documentation. Monitor testing and commissioning of mechanical systems before handover. Qualifications, experience, knowledge, and skills: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred). At least 3 years of experience supervising mechanical construction works. Strong knowledge of mechanical and sanitary systems and on-site execution standards. Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and mechanical plans, and in material and equipment specifications. Leadership and good communication skills, with ability to problem-solve. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks on site. Good understanding of safety systems and quality control procedures.
