Position Overview Blue Dez Engineered Solutions is seeking an experienced Tekla Detailer Engineer – Steel Structure to join our growing engineering team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with extensive experience in structural steel detailing and Tekla Structures. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing accurate fabrication and erection drawings, coordinating with engineers and fabricators, and ensuring high-quality project deliverables.
Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed structural steel models and fabrication drawings using Tekla Structures. Develop shop drawings, erection drawings, and material reports for steel structure projects. Coordinate with structural engineers, project managers, fabricators, and contractors to resolve design and detailing issues. Review engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate implementation in Tekla models. Ensure compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and fabrication practices. Perform clash detection and coordinate with other disciplines when required. Revise and update drawings based on client comments and engineering changes. Maintain organized project documentation and meet project deadlines.
Qualifications ADVANCED ENGLISH LEVEL IS STRICTLY REQUIRED (This is a mandatory prerequisite for all written and verbal professional communications in this role).5–7 years of experience in Tekla steel detailing. Strong experience detailing steel structures for fabrication and erection. Proficiency in Tekla Structures and other CAD software (e.g., Auto CAD or similar). Solid understanding of structural steel fabrication, erection processes, and detailing standards. Ability to interpret structural engineering drawings and specifications. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications Experience coordinating with steel fabricators and erection teams. Familiarity with AISC standards and structural steel connection details. Experience working on commercial, industrial, or miscellaneous steel projects.
