Job Details

The Legal Marketing Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Media Relations office and serve as the primary day-to-day interface between the firm and its people.
The position focuses primarily on content development and media relationships, the individual will work with lawyers and professionals to generate ideas, pitches, and material that delivers high-profile coverage across the print, online, and broadcast media. Working with colleagues from the broader Clients & Markets team, they will also help to develop campaigns that position Afifi Law Firm as a premium legal advisor in one of the world's most competitive legal markets.
Responsibilities:Generates media coverage as a result of day-to-day news management, both proactively pitching news and insights from the firm and responding to queries, while maintaining journalist relationships across the legal, sector trade, and national media; and leads on the drafting of entries to all of the main global legal awards, as well as submissions to the annual surveys. Works with the firm's lawyers and Clients & Markets colleagues to build a pipeline of coordinated PR campaigns that raise Afifi Law Office’s profile as a premium legal adviser in the print, broadcast, and online media. Oversees the firm's social media strategy by preparing, scheduling, and publishing engaging content across firm's website, all social media platforms, ensuring consistent brand messaging, promoting the firm's expertise and achievements, monitoring engagement, and identifying opportunities to enhance the firm's online presence and audience reach.
Required Experience, Skills, and Attributes:Fluent English professional level,3-5 year of marketing experience,2 years of media relations experience,1 year of experience in the field of legal services.2+ years' B2B media relations experience, either at an agency or in the house;Experience in the legal and professional services sector is desirable but not essential;Experience in developing productive media relationships;Conversant with all B2B digital and social media platforms;Track record of delivering successful media relations campaigns;Exceptional verbal and written ability, with an eye for a story and an understanding of how to generate both media interest;Experience of and passion for working on issues-based campaigns;Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and influence stakeholders;Ability to work well with others and adapt to changing requirements in a fluid and fast-paced environment.
