Job Purpose:

Responsible for supporting on-site safety operations by carrying out inspections, monitoring work practices, and ensuring all personnel follow the company’s safety procedures and regulations. The role focuses on hands-on site supervision to prevent accidents, enforce PPE use, and report unsafe conditions to management.

Main job duties and responsibilities:

• Conduct daily site safety checks to ensure compliance with safety standards.

• Monitor workers' use of PPE and immediately correct non-compliance.

• Identify unsafe practices or hazardous conditions and report them to the Civil/Construction Manager.

• Assist in carrying out safety inductions for workers and subcontractors.

• Maintain records of daily safety inspections and incidents.

• Assist in investigating minor incidents and prepare basic incident reports.

• Ensure safety signs, barricades, and warning devices are in place where required.

• Help monitor the safe use of tools, equipment, and machinery.

• Support emergency preparedness activities, including drills and evacuation plans.

• Stop any activity that poses an immediate danger until it is made safe.

• Coordinate with the site first aid team when needed.

• Perform any additional tasks necessary to support workflow within the scope of the job's specialty.

Requirements

• Educational background and previous experience:

  1.       Diploma or technical certificate in safety, construction, or related field.

  2.       2 years of construction site experience.
