Purpose of the job:
The civil supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating all civil works activities on site to ensure that works are carried out safely, according to the specified timeline, and in accordance with project specifications and approved quality standards and drawings. The role includes managing workforce productivity, tracking progress, solving site issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality procedures.

Key responsibilities:
Supervising and managing daily civil works including: concrete works, formwork (shuttering), rebar tying, drilling, filling, building works (block), plastering, and finishing works.
Ensuring all works are carried out according to approved drawings, project specifications, Method Statements, and QA/QC requirements.
Coordinating with site engineers, subcontractors, and foremen to ensure smooth workflow and timely task completion.
Monitoring labor distribution, equipment usage, and material availability to ensure site operations efficiency.
Conducting regular site inspection rounds to monitor progress, verify quality, and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
Addressing field problems and technical challenges and any conflicts that may arise to avoid delays in execution.
Ensuring strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations and implementing safety procedures for all workers on site.
Preparing and submitting daily progress reports to site management.
Contributing to planning site activities, sequencing works, and identifying potential risks or delays.
Reviewing and tracking quantities of works performed for invoicing, material requests, and project documentation.

 Qualifications, experience, knowledge, and skills :
A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (preferred).
Minimum of 3 years of experience supervising civil construction works.
Strong knowledge of structural works, finishing works, and site execution standards.
Familiarity with reading engineering drawings, basic surveying, and material specifications.
Good leadership and communication skills, with problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks on site.
Good understanding of safety systems and quality control procedures.
