Role Description The PHP Developer is a full-time remote role responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining server-side web applications using PHP and related technologies. Day-to-day tasks include building and optimizing back-end services, integrating APIs, working with databases, and ensuring application performance and security. The role also involves collaborating with front-end developers to implement user-facing features, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, and participating in code reviews. The PHP Developer will contribute to software design, write clean and reusable code following object-oriented principles, and maintain documentation to support ongoing development and maintenance. Qualifications Strong proficiency in Back-End Web Development and Programming, with hands-on experience building PHP-based applications. Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and their application in PHP and modern software development. Working knowledge of Front-End Development to collaborate effectively with UI/UX and front-end teams. Experience in Software Development practices, including version control (e.g., Git), testing, and debugging. Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., MySQL), RESTful APIs, and web security best practices. Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage priorities, and communicate clearly with distributed team members. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience with modern PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony) and exposure to agile or iterative development methodologies is beneficial.
