About the Roles & Key Responsibilities:
Shop Drawings & 3D Detailing: Oversee and prepare execution-ready 2D/3D Shop Drawings and complex structural connections for aluminum doors, windows, curtain walls, structural glazing, and skylights.
Fabrication Orders & Cutting Lists: Generate precise, zero-waste Optimization / Cutting Sheets and glass order breakdowns for direct factory production lines.
Quantity Surveying (QS) & Estimation: Perform accurate material takeoffs (profiles, glass specs, gaskets, and hardware fittings), analyze BOQs, and prepare comprehensive unit rate estimations.
Invoicing & Financial Controls: Prepare monthly Client Progress Invoices, review subcontractor payment applications, and process Variation Orders (VOs).
Project & Team Coordination: (For Manager level) Lead technical office operations, optimize structural designs, manage site/factory workflows, and directly liaise with consultants, contractors, and system suppliers.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Arts, Fine Arts, Industrial Design, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience:
Manager: 8–12+ years of technical experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory/managerial role within the Aluminum & Glass Facades sector.
Engineer: 2–6 years of proven technical office experience specializing in aluminum systems and glass works.
Software & Technical Proficiency:
AutoCAD: Advanced skills in architectural detailing, section details, and profile connections (Mandatory).
3D Design Software: Proficiency in SolidWorks or Inventor for complex structural/mechanical aluminum detailing, sheet metal modeling, and 3D fabrication details (Highly Preferred).
Cutting Optimization Software: Knowledge of specialized aluminum programs like Orgadata (LogiKal), Cutting Optimization Pro, or similar software.
MS Excel: Advanced proficiency for QS, cutting schedules, pricing models, and invoicing.
Core Competencies: High attention to detail, deep understanding of aluminum systems/hardware accessories, strong cost estimation skills, and effective technical communication.
