Overview of the Job and Company

We are a leading company in the [timber] sector, seeking an experienced financial manager to join our team in Cairo. 

The Financial Manager role places great emphasis on financial planning, financial control, and compliance, and actively contributes to sustainable growth and achieving the company's long-term goals. 

The candidate will work full-time from the company headquarters in Cairo and will lead an integrated financial team to ensure the accuracy and transparency of financial data and provide reliable financial reports to senior management and regulatory authorities.

 

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead and manage all daily financial activities including accounting, monthly and annual financial reporting.
  • Prepare budgets, cash flow plans, and financial forecasts in collaboration with senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory systems.
  • Supervise the preparation of tax reports and dealings with government authorities in accordance with applicable regulations.
  • Manage cash and work on improving working capital efficiency and collection and payment processes.
  • Develop and improve financial procedures and controls and financial and internal systems to safeguard company assets and reduce financial risks.
  • Lead and develop a finance team of accountants and auditors, identify training needs, and assess performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide accurate financial information that supports strategic decision-making.

 

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent. Preference for a related professional certification (e.g., CMA, CPA).
  • 7–10 years of experience in financial affairs and administrative finance, with prior leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS/IAS) and regulatory and tax requirements in Egypt.
  • High ability in financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting, and deriving actionable financial insights.
  • Leadership and mentoring skills, exceptional organizational and planning abilities.
  • Proficiency in common accounting software and ERP systems, plus Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel).

 

Required Skills

  • Leading and guiding senior management with data-driven, analytically supported financial decisions.
  • Effective bilingual communication in Arabic and English, transparent and timely reporting.
  • Risk management and internal controls development in line with regulatory standards.
