We are looking for an outstanding High School English Teacher to join our American International School.

You will create an engaging learning environment that inspires students while delivering a rigorous, standards-based American curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality English Language Arts instruction aligned with the American curriculum and grade-level standards.
- Design engaging lesson plans that promote critical thinking, analytical writing, effective communication, and literary appreciation.
- Foster a student-centered classroom that encourages collaboration, creativity, and independent learning.
- Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and individual student needs.
- Assess student performance using a variety of formative and summative assessment methods and provide timely, meaningful feedback.
- Utilize educational technology and digital learning platforms to enhance classroom instruction.
- Establish clear classroom expectations while maintaining a positive, inclusive, and respectful learning environment.
- Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with parents regarding academic performance and student development.
- Collaborate with colleagues, instructional coaches, and school leadership to support curriculum planning and continuous improvement.
- Participate actively in faculty meetings, professional development programs, school events, and extracurricular activities as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, English Education, Literature, or a related field. A Master's degree is an advantage.
- Valid teaching license or recognized teaching qualification is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in an American or international school.
- Strong understanding of the American Curriculum and best instructional practices for secondary education.
- Native-level or near-native English proficiency with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Strong classroom management, organizational, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in educational technology, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- A growth mindset, professional integrity, and a genuine passion for educating adolescents.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience preparing students for SAT, AP English, or other college preparatory programs.
- Experience with inquiry-based, project-based, or differentiated learning approaches.
- Familiarity with accreditation standards such as Cognia or similar international frameworks.
