Role Description The Senior Architecture Technical Office Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo. This position is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and coordinating architectural shop drawings, ensuring alignment with design intent, codes, and project specifications. The role includes managing technical documentation, coordinating with civil and electrical engineering teams, and supporting quantity surveying and BOQ preparation. The Senior Engineer will liaise with site teams to resolve technical issues, provide clarifications, and ensure that all design details are executable and integrated across disciplines. This role also involves participating in project meetings, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to continuous improvement of technical office processes.
Qualifications Strong proficiency in preparing and reviewing architectural Shop Drawings, with attention to detail and compliance with standards. Ability to develop and verify BOQ documents, supporting cost estimation and project budgeting processes. Solid understanding of Civil Engineering principles relevant to architectural coordination and construction detailing. Familiarity with Electrical Engineering requirements to ensure proper integration of architectural and MEP designs. Experience in Quantity Surveying activities, including measuring works, validating quantities, and supporting cost control. Proficiency in relevant design and drafting software (e.g., Auto CAD, Revit or similar), and MS Office tools. Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related engineering discipline; advanced certifications are an advantage.3+ years of experience in technical office or design coordination roles within the construction or architecture sector. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams and site staff.
