Summary WASSEF is looking for a Site Architect to oversee the execution of architectural works on-site, ensuring the successful delivery of projects through effective technical oversight, quality assurance, and multidisciplinary coordination. The role requires strong technical knowledge, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate effectively with contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities· Supervise architectural works on-site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, design intent, project specifications, and applicable codes and standards;· Review and provide technical comments on architectural shop drawings, material submittals, mock-ups, and method statements submitted by contractors;· Conduct regular site inspections to monitor workmanship, finishing quality, and compliance with project requirements;· Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and engineering disciplines to resolve architectural, technical, and coordination issues efficiently;· Support the Deputy Projects Manager in monitoring construction progress, identifying risks, and ensuring timely completion of the architectural scope;· Attend site meetings and provide technical guidance on architectural details, finishes, materials, and construction methodologies;· Review and verify material samples and mock-ups to ensure they meet the project's design, quality, and aesthetic standards;· Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout architectural site activities; and,· Prepare site reports, snag lists, non-conformance reports, and progress updates documenting architectural works and outstanding issues.
Requirements· Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field;· 2–4 years of relevant experience in architectural site supervision within engineering consultancy or construction environments;· Strong understanding of architectural detailing, construction methods, finishing materials, and quality control procedures;· Fluency in both English and Arabic (spoken and written);· Excellent problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain design integrity throughout construction; and,· Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and project stakeholders.
