Overview of the job and the company

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Delphi programmer to join our team in Cairo, Egypt, to contribute to the design and development of desktop applications and backend services based on the Delphi language. Ideally, the applicant should have a strong analytical mindset and an interest in delivering efficient and reliable solutions that meet client needs and support the growth of the company.

Key responsibilities and duties

• Design and develop software solutions using Delphi while considering code quality standards and best technical practices.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into actionable technical designs.
• Write unit tests and ensure maintainable and well-documented code.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (Product, QA, Support) to ensure delivery of integrated solutions on time.
• Assess performance and stability, handle system obstacles, and provide sustainable improvement solutions.
• Contribute to the dissemination and development of software architecture and institutional processes related to company projects.

Qualifications and requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
• Practical experience from 2 to 20 years in developing applications using Delphi.
• Strong familiarity with OOP principles, layer design, and modern software models.
• Experience in Windows environment and desktop application development, with good understanding of UI concepts and database integration.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently and within a team.
• Familiarity with version control concepts (Git) and build/compilation tools.
• Proficiency in technical English reading and writing from good to excellent level.

Required skills

• Strong Delphi (RAD Studio) experience and a professional Integrated Development Environment (IDE).
• Solid understanding of databases (e.g., PostgreSQL/MySQL/SQL Server) and how to design queries and optimize performance.
• Knowledge of APIs and system integration.
• High-level problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose and fix system issues quickly.
• Ability to write maintainable code with clear documentation.
