Role Description The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for:• Preparing and reviewing Bills of Quantities (BOQ).• Conducting cost estimates, and supporting cost planning throughout project life cycles.• Daily tasks include monitoring project expenditures, updating cost reports, and assisting in budget control to ensure projects are delivered within agreed financial parameters.• The role also involves coordinating with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to validate quantities, evaluate contractor claims, and support tender preparation.• The Quantity Surveyor will help maintain accurate documentation, contribute to risk and value management, and ensure compliance with company standards and industry best practices.
Qualifications: Demonstrated ability in cost planning and cost management for construction projects. Proficiency in cost control and cost reporting to track budgets and financial performance. Strong experience in preparing, reviewing, and updating BOQ and related quantity take-offs. Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and contract types. Ability to analyze data, prepare clear financial summaries, and present findings to stakeholders. Relevant degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Competence in using quantity surveying and project management software tools. Effective communication, negotiation, and teamwork skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. Experience working on-site and collaborating with multidisciplinary construction teams is beneficial.
