Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Bulk Materials Procurement Engineer to manage the procurement of bulk construction and industrial materials for ongoing projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, purchasing, and coordinating the timely delivery of materials while ensuring compliance with technical specifications, project schedules, and budget requirements. Key Responsibilities• Manage procurement activities for bulk materials such as steel, cement, pipes, cables, insulation, valves, fittings, and construction materials.• Review project specifications, BOQs, material take-offs, and technical requirements.• Prepare RFQs/RFPs and obtain competitive quotations from suppliers.• Conduct technical and commercial evaluations of supplier offers.• Negotiate pricing, contracts, delivery schedules, and payment terms.• Coordinate with engineering, planning, warehouse, and site teams to ensure material availability.• Monitor supplier performance, production progress, and logistics activities.• Ensure purchased materials comply with project specifications and quality standards.• Maintain supplier databases and develop strategic sourcing plans.• Prepare procurement reports, comparison sheets, and cost-saving analyses. Requirements• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.• 2-5 years of experience in procurement of bulk materials for construction, EPC, infrastructure, or industrial projects.• Strong knowledge of bulk material specifications and procurement procedures.• Experience with local and international suppliers.• Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent.• Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple procurement packages. Preferred Qualifications• Experience in large-scale construction or industrial projects.• Knowledge of logistics and inventory coordination.• CIPS or procurement-related certification is an advantage.
